Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be my point of contact during the project?

Your on-site point of contact will be James Bond, our crew leader, who can address any job specific questions you might have. You can identify James by his _______________.

For any additional inquiries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Shawn Adams, our Chief Operating Officer, at (825) 975-9898.

How will you manage safety and traffic around the repair site?

Our teams are thoroughly trained and certified to ensure the safety of everyone on-site, and in the case it is needed, handle any safety issues that arise. We use barriers, delineators, and traffic pylons as needed to ensure the safety of visitors to the site.

Additionally, in scenarios requiring traffic management, our protocols designate the necessary number of crew member specifically to safeguard pedestrians and vehicles, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents.

This work is being performed during my open hours, how will my daily routine or business operations be affected during the repairs?

We aim to keep disruptions to your business to a minimum. However, due to the nature of our work, some interruptions are inevitable. Should this occur, we will strategically section off the required area to clearly signal to visitors where work is taking place, thereby reducing any potential inconvenience for your clients and site visitors.

Will you be using any heavy machinery, and what are the expected noise levels?

We will be operating using blowers and parking lot line painting machines, these pieces of equipment are fairly noisy so please notify anyone necessary that the work is scheduled to take place, and to expect higher levels of noise than normal.

Can additional areas be added to the project scope once work has begun?

Our teams operate efficiently and adhere to the predefined site schedule. Once work has started, it becomes challenging to incorporate additional areas. Therefore, should there be any changes to the scope of work, please inform us before the workday begins.

What is the curing time before the lines can be driven on?

The curing process typically takes about an hour. We maintain the area cordoned off throughout the entire process and will reopen it one the curing process has completed. This ensures the paint is fully set and ready to withstand vehicle traffic.

This work is being done during business hours, how will you ensure vehicles don't drive on the lines?

We will block the parking lot off section by section. Unfortunately, some of your stalls will not be available during the painting process, however, as soon as they are ready to be opened up, we will do so and that area can resume to original operations.

Can you paint parking lot lines in any weather conditions?

Parking lot painting is sensitive to weather conditions. Precipitation can pose challenges, so we closely monitor weather forecasts. Should adverse weather threaten the quality of our work, we may need to reschedule to ensure quality of the paint is not sacrificed.

What do I need to do to prepare the area for the work?

Please make sure the area is free of vehicles or any obstacles that could hinder the completion of the work. For everyone’s safety, and to prevent overspray on unintended objects, we require a substantial space around the area that is painted to be free and clear. A general guideline is to have open access within 15 feet of any area being painted, free from vehicles and obstacles. For parking lot lines, we cannot paint stalls with vehicles parked in the stall. Additionally, inform any necessary personnel before the workday.

What happens if there is a vehicle parked on the property, or any other obstacle that cannot be moved on the day of work?

Unfortunately, stuff happens, and there may be a vehicle parked on-site that should not be there. If this happens, we will have to come back, and as there is a large amount of equipment and personnel we have to mobilize, this will incur a mobilization fee for our return visit.

What types of paint do you use, and how long do they typically last?

We use low-VOC oil-based traffic marking paint. It is highway grade and sourced from the best manufacturer we have found. It is highly-durable and fast curing.

What maintenance is required after parking lot line painting?

Following parking lot line painting, it is crucial to keep the parking lot clean. Dirt, rocks and other debris can be ground into the paint as vehicles drive over the lines. To ensure the maximum durability of your parking lot paint it is recommended to get your parking lot swept every year.

Furthermore, you can sealcoat your parking lot to help protect it, and slow further deterioration of the parking lot. Parking lot paint lasts longer on smoother surfaces and a seal coated parking lot is ideal for the durability of parking lot paint, all while giving it a fresh black look as if it was newly paved.
