FAQ

Can you patch up asphalt?

In many cases, asphalt can be patched. Patching potholes and cracks can be as simple as pouring hot asphalt into the damaged area, then smoothing it out. In some circumstances, we may need to clean and fill the damaged area with crushed gravel before patching it.

Should I repair or replace my asphalt driveway?

Patching, resurfacing, and replacing are all options, depending on how severely damaged your driveway or parking lot is. Patching is generally the best method for small holes and cracks. Resurfacing becomes a viable option when cracks and potholes are large and numerable, and patching them all is no longer cost-effective. Replacing is reserved for when the foundation of the driveway or parking lot is damaged.

At Infinity Asphalt Paving Inc., we offer cost-effective asphalt patching solutions for residential and commercial clients. Restore structural integrity, remove tripping hazards, and improve the aesthetics of your parking lot; call us today!

Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be my point of contact during the project?

Your on-site point of contact will be James Bond, our foreman, who can address any job-specific questions you might have. You can identify James by his _______________.

For any additional inquiries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Shawn Adams, our Chief Operating Officer, at (825) 975-9898.

How will you manage safety and traffic around the repair site?

Our teams are thoroughly trained and certified to ensure the safety of everyone on-site, and in the case it is needed, handle any safety issues that arise. We use barriers, delineators, and traffic pylons as needed to ensure the safety of visitors to the site.

Additionally, in scenarios requiring traffic management, our protocols designate the necessary number of crew member specifically to safeguard pedestrians and vehicles, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents.

How will my daily routine or business operations be affected during the repairs?

We aim to keep disruptions to your business to a minimum. However, due to the nature of our work, some interruptions are inevitable. Should this occur, we will strategically section off the required area to clearly signal to visitors where work is taking place, thereby reducing any potential inconvenience for your clients and site visitors.

Will you be using any heavy machinery, and what are the expected noise levels?

We will be operating heavy equipment, including skid steers, asphalt saws, and asphalt rollers, which will result in elevated noise levels. Please make sure to inform all relevant parties who might be impacted by this noise.

Can additional repairs or enhancements be added to the project scope once work has begun?

Our teams operate efficiently and adhere to the predefined site schedule. Once work has started, it becomes challenging to incorporate additional repair areas. Therefore, should there be any changes to the scope of work, please inform us before the workday begins.

Can the repair area be used at any point during the repair process?

To guarantee the safety of everyone on-site and allow the repair adequate time to cure correctly, the repaired area will be entirely cordoned off, preventing any traffic until it’s ready.

What is the curing time before the repaired area can be used again?

The curing process typically takes about a day. We maintain the area cordoned off throughout the entire day and will reopen it the following morning. This ensures the repair is fully set and ready to withstand vehicle traffic.

Can you repair asphalt in any weather conditions?

Asphalt paving is sensitive to weather conditions. Precipitation can pose challenges, so we closely monitor weather forecasts. Should adverse weather threaten the quality of our work, we may need to reschedule to ensure quality of the repair is not sacrificed.

What do I need to do to prepare the area for repair?

Please make sure the area is free of vehicles or any obstacles that could hinder the completion of the work. For everyone’s safety, we require a substantial space around the repair site to be free and clear. A general guideline is to have open access within 15 feet of any repair area, free from vehicles and obstacles. Additionally, inform any necessary personnel before the workday.

What happens if there is a vehicle parked on the property, or any other obstacle, that cannot be moved on the day of work?

Unfortunately, stuff happens, and there may be a vehicle parked on-site that should not be there. If this happens, there may be time to have the vehicle towed. If there is a vehicle on-site that is in the way, we will contact you right away so that you can get it towed.

Alternatively, we will have to come back, and as there is a large amount of equipment and personnel we have to mobilize, this will incur a mobilization fee for our return visit.

Will repaired areas match the rest of my pavement?

They will not, unless the parking lot is seal coated, the repair area will have a fresh black look as the asphalt is still rich with all of it’s bitumens.

What maintenance is required after asphalt repair?

Following asphalt repair, ongoing maintenance of your asphalt is crucial. Cracks act as parasites to your asphalt, expanding the longer they’re left unaddressed. Prompt crack filling is essential to prevent further damage.

Furthermore, you can sealcoat your parking lot to help protect it, and slow further deterioration, all while giving it a fresh black look as if it was newly paved.
